Compromise

When I give and you take
You call that compromise.
When I am told to take it or leave it
You tell me that's a good deal.
When I feel wrong even when right
You talk about valuable perspective.
When I vow to finally grow up
You warn me not to get boring.
You feast on my accommodations
as I yearn for non-negotiable love.
