Faded Photos

                Faded photos
Lonely thin men sat at empty tables
Gazing on faded photos
Of distant land
Memories disconnected

Promised land!! brought but only dark sorrow
Thus they sat killing silence
Staring at food they have to eat
They just eat to prepare for the next burden

Ah, deep in the holed eyes
Lays lost life, lost promise
But now are no more bridges to cross

The illusion of hope
Gives life to to the hurting smiles
Politeness out of defeat
Of smashed souls

In silence they march the streets
Away from the loneliness of the night
Dreams are to pain
Dreams are to the past
Dreams of love,tenderness, human touch
Dreams of friendship hand

But
But
Slowly they swallow the poison
But to only breath
And to keep alive

But what end
Vacant looks reply
An end of sorrow, of an ever lasting pain.

Search for joy
Search a human touch
Alas, non to be found,
Offered, taken, shared or disposed

Now the act of eating ended
Coins payed in painful silence
No word uttered
No greeting
And no goodbys

The cold empty streets
Await them
They live loneliness
No cover
No love
No touch
But, plenty of hurtful pain

Faded photos, faded memories
Faded souls

The next cycle is tomorrow
The next cycle is tomorrow
But without ending
