The Innocence we lost...

A time of innocence, a carefree state,
Where laughter echoes, worry's absent weight.
Barefoot in the grass, a summer's day,
Chasing fireflies, a playful fray.

Building forts of blankets, sheets, and chairs,
Imaginations soaring, casting cares.
Adventures bold, in secret lands,
With friends as loyal as holding hands.

Simple joys, a candy bar, a toy,
Endless hours filled with endless joy.
A time of wonder, magic, and delight,
Childhood's precious, shining light.
