The tower within a lightning-struck tower

Appearing as a towering structure
Standing tall against the sky, resilient
Walls of solid stone suddenly rupture
Without warning, cataclysmic event

Thunderous roar of splitting stone emerge
Violent tremble of the earth beneath
Deafening crash of falling rubble surge
The once steady façade cracking to breathe

Unexpected changes and upheaval
Re-evaluating to confront fears
Facing firmly really essential?
Necessary as nurturing mothers

Amidst the rubble exists renewal
Old structures torn down for something stable

About this poem

Intensity and swiftness of change can be both positive and negative depending on one’s perspective and response. Never fear nor stress about the crumbling of constructs that are built upon faulty foundations - even mistakes are foundations of truth.
