Elegy of Call Me Medusa
In shadows deep, where whispers dwell,
You danced like fate beneath life's spell.
A heart wrapped tight in serpent stone,
The world beheld you—yet alone.
With silver gaze and tangled hair,
Each glance a weaving of quiet despair.
Your laughter echoed through ancient halls—
But none could hear when silence calls.
O cursed muse of beauty's plight,
Each heartbeat trapped within the night.
You turned away from light’s embrace,
Yet longed still for a kindred face.
A tapestry of grace unspooled,
By hands that mocked while love was schooled;
For every tear—a tale unsung—
In artistry your soul once clung.
Now wander forth through moonlit dreams,
Beyond the veils where longing gleams;
Though legends fade in time's cruel weave,
In memory's arms—you shall not leave.
So here I stand with words to fold:
An elegy—for tales retold;
Medusa dear—you brave charade—
In life’s embrace—we all cascade.
Let serpents coil ‘round aching hearts,
For each must play their destined parts.
And if they cast you down again,
Remember this—in sorrow’s pen:
While beauty lingers cloaked in fear,
Your spirit shines—it lingers here;
Through whispered winds and sighs so hushed,
Forevermore—in love—we trust.
