Remember to Smile

When fear starts to boil over like a forgotten pot.
Seeps into your pores and starts to rot,
Remember to smile.
Said not as an optimist or with any self deprecating sass,
But as a last defense for sanity and a means to save your ass.
Remember to smile.
It might seem fake or a tad bit contrary.
I assure you that will be a passing thought that you’ll soon bury.
Remember to Smile.
When your world caves in and all feels lost.
There is always a fresh new one waiting with a very affordable cost,
Just remember to smile.
For behind ever smile is a person who hasn’t given up,
Not for lack of reason or any cause to erupt.
But for facing our selves and fears with a serious manner.
Accepting the strength and courage from loves valiant banner
and remembering to smile.
