We rise Stronger From the Ashes

Father was in bed with HER.
Not the mother.

Why didn't she tell Mother?
Was she too young to know right from wrong?
Or she didn't feel strong?

let Mother find out from someone else,
Let it not be her who has egg on her face.

Didn't want to create a ripple,
Didn't want to upset the holey boat ...
Wanted to have a false peace
Wanted to keep the family in one piece.

When the storm came,
All were shattered.
Nothing remained the same.
But nobody died really,
Although the lives were battered.

About this poem

It's about a scarred childhood when a child witnesses infidelity firsthand.
