Imraan

In silent spaces I stood, watching you,
A heart full of words, none you knew.
Eyes tracing the lines of your face,
Yet in your gaze, I found no trace.

My love poured out like rain to earth,
But never returned, no warmth, no mirth.
You danced in a dream, far from me,
And I stayed awake, hoping you'd see.

But love like mine, unseen, unheard,
Lives in the quiet, in every word.
It blooms in the dark, a lonely flower,
Fading slowly, hour by hour.
