Elegy for Four Lands

In the whispered breeze of twilight,
England weeps softly,
its stones steeped in history—
the cobblestones cradle tales of old:
royal hearts and echoes of laughter,
the sighs of fog over the Thames;

while Canada stretches wide,
with arms open to the chill of winter's breath—
mountain peaks kiss the sky,
maple leaves dancing like ghosts.
From cities pulsing with vibrant life,
to hollows wrapped in silence;

Australia's sun beats down on golden sands—
waves crash against rocks that remember time.
A land painted in ochres and greens,
where kangaroos leap through ancient dreams,
and whispers rise from deep within its earth.

And America stands tall beneath vast skies—a patchwork quilt sewn with striving threads.
The heartbeat throbs through bustling streets and humming fields—we seek our stories amid noise & chaos.

Four lands bound together by invisible seams;
fishnets woven from courage and turmoil-
each heart a different rhythm yet pulses alive—

We gather these memories like seashells upon unyielding shores,
carved by tides that bring us closer
and then pull us apart.
As twilight descends on this fragile world—
I hear your names call out to me
in an elegy of love:
Oh England! Oh Canada!
Oh Australia! Sweet America!

Let each shadow fade into dusk,
let rivers flow toward tomorrow without fear—
for as night blankets your essence,
I will carry you within my soul;
like songs sung 'round flickering flames,
you remain forever intertwined beneath starlit skies.
