H-The War Bringer

I let the devil into my life,
disguised in a human body—
yours.
And I allowed him to curse me,
as I crumbled with every smile,
and sank deeper with every touch.

You never knew how to love;
only how to conquer.
Your words were so sweet
that every lie became a spell,
making me believe in a poisonous dream.

With you, every night
was another act in the play of my downfall—
and I never wanted to wake up
from that poison, from that blissful hell.

You extinguished the light within me,
accustomed my eyes to darkness.
Yet even in the dark,
I kept searching for you,
like a prayer reaching out to a lost soul,
desperate and obsessed.

I betrayed myself with you,
carrying your name as if it were a vow,
burdened with both hope and regret.
With you, love was a battlefield—
one without victors, only losses.

But the greatest war
was the one I fought within myself:
balancing on the edge of a knife,
between loving you
and saving myself.
In the end, I learned how to make peace
with my wounds.

I no longer carry you inside me,
but your traces remain—
echoes of a curse,
silent but ever-present.

The devil disguised in your body
may no longer haunt me,
but your shadow follows me with every step.
And I know, H.,
the true victory in this war
is that I survived you.
