Flâneur
Flâneur
Strolling along I open myself
Watching, listening and taking in
The steps on the path I tread
Sights, sounds and smells
Opening the curtain on
My capacity to create and care
I am alive as living verse
Writing my part to play my purpose
So the universe can declare
My uniqueness is a gift to be shared
Equal and free in our world.
Sauntering on through is me
Experiencing life as is,
Not the way I want or imagine
But what if I take a sad song
And make it better?
The boulevard I travel
I do so at my own pace slowly
Speed is not my strategy
Savoring any recipe
Means taking your time to taste
What life offers and add your own.
