The American Gods

The American Gods, they rule with might
Their power flowing through the day and night
From east to west, their land doth spread
Where the stars and stripes are proudly led
With every sunrise, their glory shines
Creating art in the midst of the pines
Their land is vast, with mountains high
Where the gods dwell, in the endless sky
The gods of freedom, of justice and law
Their values etched in every being and flaw
With their mighty shield, they protect the land
From sea to shining sea, they make a stand
But there are others, who roam this realm
With hands that hold a different helm
They are the gods of industry and wealth
Their power reigns, in spite of stealth
Their temples are skyscrapers, reaching the sky
Their altars, the stock market's mighty cry
Their followers, the rich and the elite
They bask in their wealth, beneath their feet
The American Gods, they come in all forms
For here, diversity is the norm
In every color, in every race
Their strength and beauty you cannot replace
There are the gods of music and art
Whose melodies and brushstrokes leave a mark
They fill the air with their soulful tones
Their creations, forever set in stone
The god of sports, with their courts and fields
Their fans worship, as their victories yield
Their names become legend, in every game
Their skill unmatched, their passion the flame
And then there are the gods of the land
The farmers, the ranchers, with calloused hands
They till the soil, they raise the herds
Their labor, the backbone of this world
The American Gods, they all coexist
Their differences, the very thing that makes them resist
A nation of gods, a melting pot of might
Together they stand, in this land of light
But amidst the gods, there are those who stray
Their hearts filled with greed, their souls in disarray
They worship false idols, of power and fame
Their hearts devoid, of love and shame
Their corrupt ways, a poison that spreads
Leaving destruction in their wake instead
But the American Gods, they rise up strong
Their faith in their land, forever long
For in this nation, where the gods reside
There's a flicker of hope, that never dies
Their strength and resilience, a force to behold
For the American Gods, never grow old
So let us bow down, to the American Gods
For in their hands, this land thrives and nods
With every heartbeat, they keep us alive
For here, in their realm, we all shall thrive.
