In Silence We Sit
In silence, we sit, the miles roll on,
The weight of my pride, where has it gone?
A tender bond bruised, by words unspoken,
A heart I hold dear, now feels broken.
You’re right!, pride has its place in my heart,
But shame is the shadow that tears us apart.
A moment of weakness, frustration misplaced,
Unintentional wounds, yet here they’re traced.
I ache for the hurt my actions have sown,
For seeds of regret that I should’ve known.
I didn’t mean to falter, didn’t mean to fall,
But the pain in your eyes, really says it all.
The road is long, but love is our guide,
Even in silence, I feel you beside.
I vow to be better, to own my mistakes,
To mend what I’ve broken, no matter what it takes.
For you are my partner, my heart, my true King,
Through sorrow and joy, you are my everything!
I'm deeply sorry, for letting you down once again,
Know that I’ll fight for us, through sunshine or rain.
As I sit here alone, with love in my soul,
Hoping one day, we’ll again be whole.
Forgive me, my love, for the pain that I’ve caused,
Let’s find our way back, no matter the cost.
