The hands that held me so long

A storm is rising somewhere,
As tears fall from my eyes.
The tide had broken the sail somewhere,
The agony in my heart is hurting me once again.
The hands that held me for so long are gone,
And for now, I am all alone.

She cherished every moment of our little talks,
She taught me to take the little steps and walk.
She held my hands for every moment I fell.
The hands that held me for so long are gone,
And for now, I am all alone.
She sang me lullabies, She sang me songs.

Her soft hand caressed my forehead,
When I slept for hours long.
The hands that held me for so long are gone,
And for now, I am all alone.

She scolded me when I was wrong.
She taught me to live when life was going down.
She held my hands to guide me the best,
And told me to be happy and leave the rest.

The hands that held me for so long are gone,
And for now, I am all alone.
I know that she is in Heaven now.
Her soul is in peace and with the Angels now.

I know that she is watching me from up there,
For she knows that I am alone and she cares,
She knows that the hands that held me are gone now.
She is my mother and will live in my memories now.
