Burdens of Folly
Dead flies will cause ointment to stench,
And some folly outweighs wisdom;
As with water will always quench,
The thirst but never the boredom.
A wise man’s heart leans to the right,
But a fool’s heart tilts towards the left;
To open eyes for the insight,
The wise man stirs away from theft.
When the fool will walk on the road,
His wisdom fails as he lacks sense;
Others see him having a load,
Always being on the offence.
Anger of a ruler rises up,
Calmness lays offenses to rest;
When you pass around the peace cup;
Yielding pacifies to the test.
There’s an evil under the sun,
As an error proceeds the king;
When wickedness that has been done,
Causing hardship that it will bring.
Folly is set in high places,
And the rich sit in a low place;
Frowns are seen on many faces,
Until the Lord will shine His grace.
I have seen servants on horses,
Princes walk on the ground like slaves;
As they look that reenforces,
When one of them might misbehaves.
