Years that pass us by

Years go by and we are not the same as we used to be.
We seem to be to tired to even try any longer.
We don't even seem to argue any longer or even try to get along anymore.
We're just two people who live our lives in the same place.
As if we're just roommates instead of being together for almost half of out lives.
Almost as strangers living in the same house with no excitement or happiness at all.
Where do we go from here?
How do we get back to what we used to be or even what we thought we could have been?
Were we even meant to be or just two people that were supposed to pass each other by.
Years have gone by and we are still no closer to the truth.
Do we stay or do we go?
Do we dare start over or continue to live as two lives instead of one?
Are we scared of the truth or do we just let things fade away?
Years continue to go by and we still don't even know each other.
We are just two people living in one place stuck for so long with no way out.
No way out of the same place that we've been stuck in all these years that continue to pass us by.
Not even knowing who we are anymore.
