Black Turtle

In darkening depths, the black turtle's form
Is dwindling, lost to pollution's stain
The ocean's waves, once pristine and warm
Now choke with plastic, a toxic refrain

The sea, a graveyard, where turtles lie
Entangled, suffocated, and still
Their ancient eyes, once bright with wonder why
Now dimly stare, in death's cold, dark chill

The hazards many, the future unsure
As human greed and neglect conspire
Against the turtle's survival, pure
And simple lives, now threatened, lost in fire

The loss of biodiversity, a crime
Against the planet, and all its design
The delicate balance, now in decline
As species vanish, and ecosystems align

To conserve marine nature, we must strive
To reduce, reuse, and recycle, and stay alive
To the dangers of pollution, and the harm we give
To the black turtle, and all marine life, we must live

Let us mark this black day, a somber reminder
Of our impact on the ocean, and its creatures' surrender
Let us pledge to act, to make a change, to be kinder
To the black turtle, and all marine life, we must be finder.
