The Garden of Life

Oh, hear me great mother, nurturer and protector.
I bow to your every command with quiet solace and deep reflection.
The seasons come and go and still you watch the world, for signs of judgement that knows no bounds.
The fierce wind blows across the yearning branches of timeless beauty.
They bend and sway to your command, oh the power you yield.
Yet gentle drops of morning dew delight and glisten in the fresh morning air.
And sit upon the colours and delicate fragrances of gardens. Oh, what joy.
My mind is in awe of your majestic presence, the seasons of change ebb and flow.
We bend to your charms, your chaos, your control, like malleable dolls.
Storms rape the seas of our minds, snow freezes our yearning hearts,
yet the golden rays of the sun, warm our soul and bring hope to the garden of our lives.
