Sunbathe ( Version 3 )

Warm rays of sunshine, caressing my skin
The gentle breeze, inviting me in
The grass beneath me, soft and green
Nature's embrace, like a beautiful dream
Lazily laying, upon the ground
In the midst of nature, I am found
Blue skies above, a blanket of blue
The perfect setting, for what I am about to do
I close my eyes, and take a deep breath
Surrendering to the warmth, of the sun's caress
A symphony of sounds, surround me
A chorus of birds, singing in glee
I let my mind wander, to a faraway place
A tranquil state, of eternal grace
The worries of the world, fade away
As I bask in the glory, of a peaceful day
The sun's golden rays, dance on my skin
A tingling sensation, from within
Like a warm hug, from a long lost friend
A feeling of contentment, that will never end
I reach out my hand, to feel the grass
Soft blades, like velvet, as they pass
The scent of summer, fills the air
A sweet aroma, beyond compare
The sun's rays, slowly move across the sky
And I can't help but let out a sigh
For time seems to stand still, in this bliss
A moment of pure joy, that I would never miss
As the day goes on, and the sun sinks low
I watch the colors, of the sunset show
A canvas of hues, painted above
A masterpiece, created with love
The sun's last rays, kiss my face goodbye
But the warmth lingers on, like a gentle sigh
I open my eyes, and take it all in
Grateful for this moment, in a world full of din
And as I slowly rise, to leave my spot
I can't help but feel, a little distraught
For leaving this haven, is not an easy feat
But I know, I can always come back to retreat
Sunbathe, a simple act, but oh so divine
A moment of solitude, that will forever shine
In my memories, and in my heart
A moment of peace, that will never depart.
