Frosted Spring

Thou dost not respond like wind to autumn

cries unto this earth as newborn children

thoroughly beguiled at sight of first frost

washing downstream awoke with lush verdure

though perennial life evades the heat

stroke of good fortune undoubtedly yet

seedless and broken with despair unveils

thou dost not respond like wind to autumn

cries unto this earth as old life descends
