Lying

I found it laying
Lying
On another mans floor
Taking steps toward it
One two
Crying
Expecting to see something different
As if things had changed
Something unheard of
Scratched up
White as paper
Dark as night
Feel me in the morning light
I look to you for a hug
Gentle this time
And you grab me
Take me back in time
But i promised myself Id never travel the road you left me
Feel the pain you felt
Or let my life
Waste like trash
So
Although
Its on another mans floor
I dust it off
This time and smile
Because before i walk an inch in your shoes I'll walk a mile.
