A better me

amy elizabeth hand

Wanting to wash this waste away
Trying to trash the tears that taint
Being bitter burns my being
Constant creation of lyrics to comfort

Run the risk of burning out
Take the chance, one chapter more
Fingers fly and feelings fade
Sinking now, and someday soar.

Mistakes I've made, now I mend
Heart I lost, lives again
People may judge and jury me
But I will be a better me.
