A Tale from the Barrel

The Fallacies of Comradery,
every comrad fixates his eyes above
We crabs in a barrel,
Our objective is freedom and
for it we'll dismiss love

Fervently sprinting to a would-be melting pot,
eagerly mistaking it for the top
Striving for a climax,
Embracing the fall,
If we could outlive the shock

Physically indistinguishable,
Possessing similar briefs for the same mission
Comrads become competitors,
Gladiators in a vain competition

Encouragement would fuel the Escape,
We'd rather slumber as our brother pulls our weight
We crabs in a barrel,
Our mission is avoiding fate.
