Committed thoughts come through

Restless roving eyes
That will not be denied
They struggle with the flesh
In this human quest
A mind preoccupied
And tormented inside
It hates the human chain
But drags it, just the same
But then, committed thoughts come through
What God wants me to do
These eyes begin to look to God
To set their spirit free
To find a hiding place in him
And better things to see
But then, committed thoughts come up
In spite of earthly lust
And though these eyes won,t be denied
A mind preoccupied
The Lord breaks right on through
In spite of earthly woo
