she carries the sun
the light reflecting
her shiny coat of gold
she catches a scent
her piercing eyes
narrowing in focus
her robust body
crouching in the grasslands
she feels the slight prickle of the grass
the hot sting of the sun
she swats the flies with her tail
her stomach growls
her heart quickens as she targets her prey
she steadies herself
visualizes her defeat
the prey stops
the breeze stops
the world stops
a sudden gargantuan pounce
