Swimming in my brain

I have elastic electric thoughts stretching and bouncing in my brain
Have you ever swam the backstroke
Or treaded in the deep end of your brain
Have you ever tried to tilt the scales by tilting your head back toward the sky
Have you ever swam the backstroke
Or felt the upswing tug of the bungee vine
Have you ever closed your eyes and done it with the notion of a minimalist
Have you ever opened up your brain sails wide to drift off to a place in time
Where silver diamond dolphins dive
Sharply through the melatonin  pockets of your brain
Like foam that pokes up between your toes
On that perfect beach  on that perfect shore
Right before you find your perfect place and swim the backstroke there, then through it
