The Siren and her Parasol
The Siren and her Parasol.
She never leaves home without the dark covering.
Though she is without her beautiful sea,
she knows she is still the rain.
So, her Parasol goes where she goes.
A wake of mourning,
that she unsuccessfully tries to hide underneath and behind.
Though there may be sun in the sky.
Helios frowns at the Siren,
has she not seen his piercing spark, his horses of light?
Long gone is the thought of Hades, the mourning and the night.
The buds have whispered and the flowers wait with joy to Spring.
For, Demeter rejoices as the earth bears once more her child, Persephone.
