Vessel

Dispise me as you defy him.
You no longer believe in him,
so you can not believe in me.
Treasure your golden trinkets
and silver nights,
as I remain buried to you;
though I have no hope
of being discovered by your piracy.
So pass me by in the gentle dark.
You will hear me calling your name.
Deployed in the distant clear
over vast oceans in a diminutive mind.
What you will not realize at the time
is what you are hearing.
A small voice of reasoning
and a call of reckoning.
