What Great Mother Does (Poem No 537)
Free verse
Your Moms,
Before she had you,
She was once a slim lady too.
With a perfect shape and a perfect charm too.
That's why your Daddy fall in love with her deeply.
Then,
Here comes you in Her belly,
Result as the fruit of their effort.
Dizziness, weakness, shakiness
Nauseated, feet swollen, and pain in the abdomen;
Lots of sleepless night, skin stretching...
She went through all of that...
When you were fully grown inside her womb,
She went through excruciating pain
Just to bring you into this world to roam.
She became your nurse, a maid, a chef,
A chauffeur to your game;
She was your greatest fan.
She was your first teacher,
your best friend and your spiritual preacher.
She strive her best to provide for all your need,
She played with you, laugh with you, read with you,
cried with you, and Prayed for you.
Don't take your mom for granted,
There are many lost their mommy to the grave
and there are many who never knew the mothers love.
So, never get tired with their rules and advice
For everything she does is govern with her love.
She wants to make sure, you know what is right.
And follow the right path which God laid ahead for your life.
Dedicated to my Girls base of my parenting .
and to all who have a hard time understanding
and loving their Moms....
