I, Richard David Briggs, am presently retired and living in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada.
I was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and graduated from Admiral Westphal High School, located not far from the Shearwater Naval Base, where I was much influenced by the presence of the Amed Forces during and after WW2.
Having an Irish, Scottish, and British background, I was richly exposed to my parents’, and grandparents’, pronounced European accents, mannerisms, traditional values, customs, dress, stories, poems, songs, and dances, as well as to the history of their old countries which they cherished!
In conclusion, I enjoy revealing a person’s unique characteristics, the individual process of their determined rationale, especially their carefully calculated actions, including the satisfying reward of their expectations, as well as the chilling shock of their unexpected dire consequences.
Lastly, as responsible mature people, I feel we have a moral duty to remember Life’s memorial incidents so the brave will not fade into oblivion!
