I am 61 years old, live in Los Angeles by way of Chicago been here 7 years. I am a Widower, I was Married for 1 year and lost my Wife to a brain embolism. I have been guilty of being in love with being in love which drives a good deal of my poetry as I tried to work out all the emotions involved with too many love affairs. I have had the love of two lifetimes which is why it took me 50 years to get married! I never thought it would happen for me and it happened exactly like I'd always dreamed it would, even after I stopped dreaming! She was perfectly imperfect and everything I could have asked for! It was short but so sweet and well worth the journey. You can follow the journey through my poems. [I feel the need to make a qualifying statement; I have always been a believer in Jesus Christ, what I have not always been is a committed follower of his teachings! I have been, like many "Christians," a Church goer and a Carnal Christian. I have always been committed to love, (sharing, caring, and being there) but was doing it in the wrong spirit! (The Scorpio spirit) Much of my poetry was written in that spirit, but this is about a journey and I assure you, while I never lose my passion for love, I do ultimately get saved and by the time I get married I am writing and loving in the Spirit of Christ! But you'll have to wait for the book for that story.]

This is a well written poem with an all to familer them. I felt my self taking this journey with the pen and ink and paper and pencil, know that the first place you make love is in the mind, and then you're using your ink to play connect the dots and you connect them all and come out with a picture of a love that you want to present as your present! And then you pray that she will accept the gift! I've been here, maybe not quite as elegant, but I feel you! Well done and wishing you all the best with that!
