Autopilot

It seems I don't know quite how to respond,
To the pain present, within and beyond,
So, my subconscious defaults to the lead,
With habitual patterns, I proceed…
Reliant on instincts and emotions,
These primal...

The boredom of the mundane
evaporated as you rose,
and ascended into my center.

Now boundless and bursting,
I find myself vibrant–

Daybreak’s unfolding,
To a shared beholding,

From start to end I was captivated. Interesting wording and lines all together kept my attention. And, I am amazed at how you were able to pack a powerful message into such few eloquent lines.

Yes, I have to wholeheartedly agree, sometimes there just is no silver lining and I'm trying to my best to learn to accept that. I'm doing okay-- it's been 4 years since his attempt and 9 since he passed and I'm finally able to start writing about it and working through it more deeply. This was a meaningful write for me, so I really do appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback, and even more so I appreciate your advice.
