I was raised in a small town in Arkansas, 3 miles from the Arkansas Diamond Mine. I quit school, got married, joined the Army, and had my first child, all at the age of 17. Now married 54 years (to the same woman!), I am retired and finally have time to do something with all these poems I have written over the years.
