In the darkness I stand.

In the darkness, I stand.

Here I stand deep in the darkness, peering, wondering, and fearing. My dreams are doubting. Then I heard a soft, sweet whisper of your voice in the air, and the silence was broken and not another word was spoken. Then I can hear that I will give you guidance on the path you must take, so don't forsake me for heaven's sake. The path is your heart, the dreams your soul, but for me, I'm old, and my eyes have faded. But my love for you will never fail; I have to set sail.
