Unknown

Stare into infinity, of night's clearest skies
Seeking questions for answers you've been given
When you feel trapped, can you empathize
Knowing your road has already been driven

I admire the breeze that goes drifting by
Where's it go and where's it been
It comforts me like a hard cry
And gives and takes unlike a wind

I'm envious of this kind of weather
It seems to have its own mind
The way it splashes across a heather
Or waves along the tall pines

If I had the ability or the strength
I'd carry on in the same way
Stretch out, arms wide, at full length
To be like Dead Poet's and seize the day

Wonder what holds us back
Is it conformity or comfort
Fervent views to see where we stack
Enduring an image to avoid a hurt

At the end of it all
Constant pursuit of what they designed
Did you reach their peak and stand tall
Or find your values were never aligned
