for you

Thank God for a place called home,
the morning sun upon my face,
for moss trimmed canopy roads,
a mother's prayers, and amazing grace.
Most of all, thank God for you.

Thank God we gave her your name,
and He gave her your pretty smile.
Thank God he took your pain,
and still let us say goodbye.
Most of all, thank God for you.

Thank God we came so far
from that first dance under the stars.
No star can shine like your eyes when you smiled.
Most of all, thank God for you.
