Analysis of Mama! Papa!

Mama! Papa!
Why don’t you hear me!
Why don’t you hear my cries!
Why not heed to my call!
Why assume me! Please!

Mama! You promised to cook for me!
You promised me good education!
You remember the talks mama?
Talk to me again mama……and

Papa! You promised to protect me
To show me good behavior
To fend for me when in trouble
Here was a chance papa! But….

You shot people of foreign tongue!
Beheaded them with our blunt panga!
Made holes in them with the kitchen knife!
Papa! Is that what you promised to show me!

Mama I saw you! Don’t deny!
Wagging your tongue like a whip
Against our friendly neighbor!
While my stomach growled in hunger!

I saw you take our sooty machete,
And instead of into our shamba,
You crept behind our neighbor’s wife
Only to hear anguished screams later!
