Analysis of just a touch of sunshine
Too young, too innocent.
Just when we sat down to reflect
October was at its end.
Too unsure, too confused
the great full moon
and the sea of potential memories
we settled for what made sense and missed what made us cry. Never again, we swore, we held hands and disregarded anything beyond our control.
Forget the sky exists, forget planes were made for this reason. Just close the blinds and forget it was even there.
Forget I was even there to scream right along side you.
Forget I was even there to scream at the top of my lungs that I cursed the moon,
that I hated myself,
that the world was flawed,
that the important poets were all dead,
and there was no God,
and that our governments wanted nothing more than money and power.
Forget the moon was bright and illuminated the ground you walked on. You cursed it instead because the light was less than the sun.
Now you're blind and can't walk a meter without being scared of what's in front of you. Perhaps I took pity for you but you destroyed what little pity I had.
and now that the sky is a blood red
and now that the clouds scream your name
and now that every time you look up the sky is 2 feet above your head
It all makes sense
it
all
makes
sense
all it takes
all

About this poem
don't know much about life, what I do know is partly because of the mistakes done by others. The other part is mistakes done by myself.
