Analysis of Baby gets a gifting

Parents don’t know gender
Want the marvel intact.
Ruling out the blue
Ruling out the pink.
Clothes last only moments
Anyways.
White furniture of sorts
On the list for sure.
Price a ghastly sum.
That Grandpa can endure.
Toys seem a propos.
But choking is a risk
And if too loud
There’s fits.
Mom and Dad need rest.
As Baby sleeps the best
So Tylenol’s  my vote
Not baby’s taste, please note.
But settled Mom and Dad
Will prove the best.

About this poem

This Saturday we go to a baby shower for the second grandchild for our friends Sam and Lori. First child was a boy named Asher. He is closing in on two. A wonderful young man with fix-it, make-it inclinations.
