Each poem is a winner in its own right, and we celebrate the beauty that these poets have brought into our lives — Now, we face the daunting task of choosing the Poem of the Year eligible for a $1,000 grand prize!
We'll be giving away 5 personalized poetry mugs featuring the winning poem to randomly selected voters who picked the victorious entry.

    What a beautiful collection of memories, experiences and love. Each poem has its merits, as they tug at one’s own experiences. However, ‘ Poetry Is’ captures how poetry is conceived and all its nuances. Beautifully expressed!

    In memory's absence is a beautiful and painful poem, reminding us that memory is fragile, life is fleeting, and love is deep. It's important to make our love known and understood to the targets of our affections. Before it too late. This poem reminded me of how my mother's mind seemed to escape her shortly before her death, and moved me to tears. -- the message is timeless and ever necessary. Thank you.
