Primal Urge

Last night as I lay sleeping,
I travelled to a far off land.
I saw us both walking,
In a meadow hand in hand.

As I dreamt,
I held you tightly.
Your breathe upon me,
Caressing me lightly.

An urge so ancient,
Primal feelings from within,
Souls reunited,
Lovers without sin.

I grasped upon the truth,
And it was with dismay,
That I could only have this wish,
When I slept another day.
