Confessions of a Sleep Rights Activist

This labour is a labour worth making up
For the list of army duties worth taking up
For a day so dull
Excitement, null.
For such a day, is it worth waking up?

I can still hear the heavenly lyres
A song for repose that inspires
But I ought to work
In a dystopian murk
And have to get up against my desires.

As always the Monday morning grins
To fight me and it eventually wins
It's ready for sure
Excitement galore
I have started to count all my sins.

But woe to me I said it with a sore
I need strength to fight this war
I closed my eyes
And bought those lies
That it will be just five minutes more.
