Falling leaves

Falling leaves

In the air of falling leaves
The woods woke without a sound

Shadows lived far away in
The quiet of the day

Reaching shadows turn
Slowly off the edge
In a place of simple things

Where buds asleep open to the morning sky
Footprints left behind as sound
Of crackling leaves descend

Awakening dialogue  between
the Air and sun
in the silence at rivers edge
awake in night of day

to the common place
where open hearts
do play

This poem beautifully captures a sense of tranquility and connection with nature. The imagery of falling leaves, waking woods, and shadows living quietly in the day evokes a peaceful atmosphere. The description of buds opening to the morning sky, footprints on crackling leaves, and the dialogue between the air and sun portrays a harmonious relationship between elements of nature. The poem conveys a sense of awakening and simplicity in the natural world, where even the smallest details like footprints and the sound of leaves descending contribute to the beauty and rhythm of life. The reference to open hearts playing in the common place suggests a theme of unity and shared experiences within the simplicity and serenity of nature.
