Mission Accomplished

It takes just one poet.
Who knows when to take,
Chances and risks.
With a doing to be unconventional.
When delivering a message.
Mixed both with content,
And a performance that solicits...
Both the reader's interest and imagination.
By picking words to choose them used.
Words the reader may discover to find,
One poet is not like all others to know it.

It takes a poet to create,
A difference experience for the reader.
Done at times on purpose.
Not to make immediate sense.
Yet a poet experienced,
Hopes in time the reader finds...
The words of the poet picked to choose,
Stays permanently on the reader's mind.
Making clearer the message,
And content of what that poet meant.

'You...
I read a poem this poet wrote,
Years ago.
And it made no sense then.
Or today either.'

'Is that right?'

'No joke.
I just read it again.
Wondering what the meaning is.
And the purpose was for the writing of it.'

'Well...
I would say,
That poet's mission has been accomplished.'

'What are you saying?'

'What I am saying?
I know for a fact,
I can say something to you right now.
To believe it full of content and makes sense.
And not even an hour later to pass,
You will not remember a word of it.
Then start an argument,
Over what it was I said but didn't.
And here you are telling me,
Some poem you read years ago...
To again read over and over again.
Makes no sense.
You are the one making no sense!'

'Oh yeah?
Did you attempt to write or say anything,
Poetically?
Then have me read?
No you did not.
Don't involve me with your nonsense.
Case closed!'

'There is no winning with you, Is it?'

'Whatever it is you are trying to defend,
The verdict is in and you lost.
Okay?
Now take a deep breath and get over it!
And also...
About that mission?
Who was it,
That did what to get accomplished?'

'You.
You satisfied?'

'Why ask me what it is you already know.'
