Tulips

Nighti

My eyes open far and wide,

To see the broken bottles and cracking stones,

Upon the sea of trees and stars

A solitary tulip wakes to the evening sky

Alas its flame is not mine to perceive

Upon its shine do I seek life

It quivers in the morning rain with dew upon its face

Thriving in the summer odes of others abloom

Oh the life I see, oh the life I feel

When it's just me and the blue flame,

Gazing afar
