My sadness

I have always been alone
Ever since I can remember
I simply don't know how to mingle
And the more I try, the more I bungle

I have always felt I don't belong
And I live on the sidelines
Relegated to the role of observer
I watch the world pass me by

I have always been lonely
And it makes me so sad
My heart is so cold and empty
Even cobwebs don't hold

I have always been depressed
Which makes me so stressed
Hope is a foreign language to me
And dreams don't come true

I was born dead
And I don't know how I have
made it this far without a breath
It is choking to suffocate this long
And my heart yearns to beat
