Quest

I’ve become stuff,
just waiting to leave, left alone
in the small room where
no one enters without
the intention of leaving stuff
here to wait to leave.
I was dropped off here
hours ago, I’ve seen
new stuff dropped off and
old stuff picked up, but still
there is stuff in here that
has been waiting since before
I was dropped off so long ago, and
still it waits. There is most
definitely stuff in here that will
have waited since before I, and
will wait, still, after I leave.
I am truly sorry for that stuff.
