Hate

I hate you. I hate the way you squint when you focus too hard on something. I hate the way your voice became unsteady when you were tired. I hate the way we disagreed on dumb topics. I hate the way you were right.

I hate your cockiness, your know-it-all attitude, and the way you'd die for your friends. I hate the fact that it has been over a year since we had our nightly calls. I hate the pictures that I come across that remind me of us. I hate looking back, knowing things could have been different. I hate not being able to pay games that we used to play together. I hate missing your smile on those times that I was the cause.

I hate the fact that I miss you, and I hate the fact that I can't hate you.

About this poem

This piece is a spoken word poem. Its about a boy that i really liked and couldn't get over. He left and poetry was my coping skill, so the whole situation birthed this poem.
