Birthday Wish of Gratitude to Mom

On your birthday, dear amma, so far apart,
A symphony of love from my beating heart.
No one’s keeping count, you've gracefully spun,
You’re alright as you are.
We’ve known the challenges you’ve been thru, you've still shone like the sun.

Your childr’n know, love knows no bounds,
In the tapestry of life, your grace and streng’h resounds.
From a small village to heights of the west you've witnessed, a legacy so vast,
In your streng’h and wisdom, you’re alright, the decades have cast.

Your childr’n know, time's gentle touch has graced your face,
A journ’y of cultural courage, a life's vibrant embrace.
As family fragments, and moments shift,
You’re alright and love remains constant, a precious gift.

Your childr’n know, with each passing day, you're a beacon of light,
Guiding us forward through day and through night.
You’re alright, as you wish to rememb’r more;
Though miles may separate, our hearts interweave,
A bond unbreakable, for you, we believe.

Your childr’n know, on this special day, as a deep’m gleams bright,
Know that you're cherished, a guiding light.
You’re alright, your beautiful soul, so deeply revered,
A source of love that's forever endeared.

Mani S. Kavuru

Words and writing have always interested me, but the transition now is from scientific writing (which is based on logic and the rational) to a more emotive, lyrical form. At present this remains an experiment to see if I can strike the right tone, elicit a desired effect, etc. Full disclosure: I have been utilizing chatGPT as an "assistant"; I provide the prompts, edit extensively, yet the structure is provided by my assistant. I take full responsibility for the end result. Not that dissimilar to work on a scientific project in the lab, etc. more…
