Listen to the voice of humility
Folks I know this is a long one however I know all can relate in some fashion.
In our daily life we need to be humble and remember the faithful lessons our Grandparents taught us. I say Grandparents because we learn the basics from our Parents but we learn more interesting things from the Grands because they R two Generations behind us and a person is in their 60's more than likely they had Grands that were alive during a time when there was not even a little bit of technology like there is today. As well folks from young children to adults were more courteous and had manners. Kids had very little to do so they had to be very creative in imaging games to play and or harmless adventures. Kids that had involved in their kids kind of parents only had to get a certain look from Mom or Dad and a self adjustment happened. Dont get to the point where Dad takes his belt off. Going to the movies and or ice cream was a rarity if ever at all. The Gossip mill was a form of entertainment for Mom. On days there was no school playing outside all day until the street lights come on was mandatory. When doing so U got your water from the garden hose and let it run for a bit to flush out the hot water before the cold. When time to come in if either parent had to come out and yell your name U better hope it was Mom because U usually could sweet talk her out of being mad. If Dad comes out U better hope your friend Billy will let U stay at his house. Families may not have had money or alot of nice things however they did get together often and managed to always have enough food because if one couldn't bring it another family could. Life made sure there were alot of simple joys because everyone trusted and gave praise to God. In the greater amount of Dicipline and good behavior there was always alot of love. Families did not put up with one of their own embarrassing the family. If U were a growing Son in a family U better have a good idea of what job U R going to have otherwise U R going to do what your Father did.
Back in those days less was more because it even made the adults to be creative and think outside the box to make ends meet. To all the different Generations each one will have a different set of years that were the good old days to them. There're so many values in life that each of us were taught and when we live by them we have a better life all around.
